Sauna path to fully enjoy Spa LaQua ``Laksa path'' / Illustrations and text by Katsuki Tanaka

Vol.2 Until you get used to it

Kuma: ``Sauna is about enjoying the ecstatic feeling that comes after a while after getting out of a cold bath. When Japanese people hear the word sauna, they tend to think of a stuffy sauna room.''

Rakuko: ``Yes, I think most people are like that, because if the train is crowded and the air conditioning is broken, it's like a ``crowded train sauna!''''

Kuma: ``Actually, it's a crowded train sauna room!'' A sauna is just a refreshing feeling.''

Rakuko: “It’s the exact opposite image.”

Kuma: “Okay, fine details are fine, but how can we make the sauna feel refreshing?”

Rakuko: “Please tell me quickly.”

Bear: “I’ll tell you quickly, let’s go!”

Rakuko: “Come!”

Kuma: ``When you start taking a cold bath in a sauna, you realize how good it is.If you say that you like saunas, or that you've been addicted to saunas lately, that means that you're addicted to cold baths.''

Rakuko: “That’s right~ Are you addicted to cold baths? I don’t like cold baths~ That’s torture.”

Kuma: “Not everyone is good at cold baths.”

Rakuko: "Is that so? Everyone's not good at it..."

Kuma: “I’ve loved cold baths from the beginning! I’m sure there are very few people who say that. That’s torture.”

Rakuko: “Then why did you include it?”

Bear: “I’m used to it!”

Rakuko: “Get used to it!!”

Rakuko: “I’m used to it!”

Bear: “Yes, you get used to it. For example, you get used to Japanese people putting you in hot water of 41 degrees.”

Rakuko: "It's said that Japanese people like to soak in hot water."

Kuma: “If you remember when you were a child, it was hot at first and you wondered why adults were allowed in.”

I was submerged up to my shoulders and made to count numbers... That was torture...

Kuma: ``No one likes hot or cold water from the beginning. Before you know it, you get used to it.''

Rakuko: “I guess I’ll get used to it~ But it’ll be hard until I get used to it.”

Kuma: “So, at first, just knee-length is fine, just cool your arms and legs, and then sit on a chair and take a break.”

Rakuko: “Is that okay?”

Kuma: "That's fine, you don't have to push yourself too hard. You'll be surprised at how easily you can soak up to your shoulders."

Rakuko: “Hey! You’re meeting a new self.”

Kuma: “Ah, I like that way of saying it. A journey to discover a new self.” “Let’s take it one step at a time, the sauna path.”
