The eyewear brand "Zoff" will launch "visible light photochromic lenses" that react to both ultraviolet rays and visible light, changing color even during the day in a car, at all Zoff stores nationwide starting Friday, July 4, 2025.

Traditional photochromic lenses change color based on the amount of UV rays, but the new visible light photochromic lenses respond to both UV and visible light. This means they naturally adjust their color according to the brightness, not only outdoors but also inside a car during the day, effectively reducing glare. They are particularly beneficial in situations prone to glare, such as inside a car during the day or near a window where UV rays are less prevalent.

These lenses can "gradually change color based on light intensity," making them suitable for the following scenarios:
• In a car where strong light enters through the windshield, the lenses subtly tint without obstructing your view, even in tunnels.
• When sitting by a window in an office or cafe during the day, the lenses provide a gentle tint and natural tone to protect your eyes.

This innovation allows for glare protection that adapts to the changing light conditions in daily life, moving beyond the traditional "outdoor or indoor" choice. Additionally, the product blocks 99% of UV rays, making it ideal for both glare and UV protection.
