Eyewear brand Zoff will begin selling "visible light photochromic lenses" at Zoff stores nationwide from Friday, July 4, 2025. These lenses react to visible light as well as ultraviolet light, changing color even while driving during the day.

Conventional photochromic lenses change color depending on the amount of UV rays, but the new visible light photochromic lenses react to visible light as well as UV rays, so they naturally change color according to brightness not only outdoors but also while driving during the day, reducing glare. They are particularly effective in situations where glare is easily felt, such as while driving during the day or by a window, where UV rays are difficult to reach.

Since it is capable of "gradual color change according to the intensity of light," it is suitable for the following usage scenarios.
