●【Nadeshiko】

Its name is 'Deshiko,' which may refer to the concept of 'Nadeshiko,' symbolizing traditional Japanese femininity or the Nadeshiko flower.

"Deshiko" is a new brand of domestic eel created by the Lake Hamana Fish Farming Cooperative Association in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

It was developed to "protect the future of Lake Hamana eels" by bringing together 125 years of traditional techniques and the natural environment of Lake Hamana, the birthplace of farmed eels.

A rich, melt-in-your-mouth flavor with pronounced deliciousness and sweetness from the fat. The fat content of "Deshiko" is 27.8g, significantly higher than the 21.6g found in conventional domestic eels, indicating its rich flavor and sweetness. It offers a satisfying eating experience while maintaining a soft texture.

●Soft skin with a distinct aroma: The skin, which is likely referring to a specific type of food, does not harden easily even when cooked. It retains its softness while highlighting its aroma, allowing you to enjoy the aftertaste for a longer period of time.

The meat is soft and substantial. A notable feature of Deshiko, a type of fish, is that its flesh remains plump and tender even as it grows larger. You can enjoy both its tenderness and its hearty texture.

●Soft skin with a distinctive aroma: The Deshiko skin remains soft even when baked, retaining its softness while its fragrant quality stands out.

■ The power of the "female eel": Thick and tender, exquisite meat

The "thick and soft meat" that is the biggest feature of "Deshiko" was born from an innovative farming method using the latest technology. The key to this is the use of female eels. In fact, the gender of farmed eels is not determined at birth, and whether they are male or female is determined later by the environment in which they are raised. In conventional farming environments, the majority of eels grow up to be male, and females are rare, but the Lake Hamana Fisheries Cooperative has succeeded in raising over 90% of eels to be female by using a special soy-based feed.

The amount in circulation is still low, and it is not sold at all to the general public, but we are making it available to you as a special offer this time!!

This year, we will be able to deliver this extremely rare eel to you again, thanks to the special production process used by Kyomaru Unagi, a long-established eel maker in Numazu, Shizuoka!

Definitely eat eel to boost your stamina and get through the hot summer!

We are looking forward to your visit today 🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️.
